Sofia is governed by the Sofia Municipality (Stolichna Obshtina), divided into 24 districts (rayoni).

District Offices (Rayonni Administratsii)

Each of the 24 districts has an administration handling local matters. Key central districts:

  • Sredets — city centre, NDK area
  • Oborishte — government quarter
  • Triaditsa — Vitosha Boulevard, southern areas
  • Studentski — student district, University of Sofia
